Lecture 20: Double integrals over general regions

MAC2313 Calculus III • Fall 2026

HOW THE INTEGRAL IS BUILT

Type a surface z = f(x, y) and the Type I or Type II limits. The figure is the solid under that surface. The two buttons are standard volume questions; you can also type any similar region and press Draw.

Examples: 4*x*y, sqrt(36-y*y), 8-2*y, 1

3D solid under z = f(x, y)

Drag to rotate. Move the slider to send the slice through the solid.

What the integral is doing

One order shows a single slice. All puts the slices together, which is the double integral.
